Mama Yolanda💜
Both of my parents are Virgos, just as myself. My parents recently celebrated their birthdays this past week. I wasn't suppose to go home this weekend mainly because fall break is right around the corner, but my aunt kept texting me to at least go home one night to take part in my mom's birthday dinner. How can I say no to free food and a chance of seeing everyone? I made my way home on Friday afternoonish (I ended up having no class on friday), and surprised my mom as I walked in through the front door. She was ofcourse surprised and immediately started showing me any birthday gifts she got and new halloween decorations she bought. We got to my grandmas house the same time the pizza had arrived. My mom wanted pizza for dinner from our favorite restaurant, Spizzco, in Elmwood Park. As we ate, my mom and I started talking about our tattoos we're getting together over fall break, it took over a year but we finally agreed to what we're getting and I am so excited! This will be my second tattoo but her first. We were going to get them that night but she needed a bit more time to prepare for it so fall break it is!
Later that night my bestfriend who attends Heartland Community College in Normal, Illinois, decided to come home for the weekend and we decided to go see "IT" with other friends. I have heard so many mixed reviews on IT I was so excited to finally see it. I have seen the original version so many times I think I ruined the dvd. Though it was more funny than scary, I still really enjoyed it. I love scary movies but am not a huge fan of clowns. It would be a movie I would go see again though.
The next morning I woke up pretty early for a Saturday, around 8:40 so that I can take my little cousin (soon to be godson) to baseball. He's a bit shy around others so he made me take part in the whole practice and I was drenched afterwards. He typically cries every week when he goes with his parents but this was the first time he didn't, I think it's most because I bribed him with donuts afterwards. I made my way back to school soon after and hung out with my roommates the remainder of the weekend with unexpected adventures. Very unplanned weekend but another successful one in my book.
